They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, North America, United States, and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Andrena tridens, Amorpha Borer, Astata unicolor, and Dasiops latifrons. Individuals can grow to 32 m.
