Acer platanoides (Norway Maple) is a species of tree in the family Sapindaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Norway, Yugoslavia, France, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Belarus, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Greece, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Estonia, Kyrgyzstan, Albania, Poland, Georgia, Czech Republic, Finland, Afghanistan, Belgium, Austria, Azerbaijan, Iran, Eastern North America, Tajikistan, Armenia, Lithuania, Germany, and Latvia. They have simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Individuals can grow to 20 m.
