Miconia prasina (Granadillo Bobo) is a species of tree in the family melastomes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Sergipe, Tocantins, Alagoas, Roraima, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Pernambuco, Maranhao, Minas Gerais, Puerto Rico, ParaíBa, GoiáS, Amazônia, RondôNia, Paraná, Amapá, Bahia, Pará, SãO Paulo, Espirito Santo, Ceará, Cerrado, U.S. Virgin Islands, Mato Grosso, Rio De Janeiro, Caatinga, and Mata Atlântica. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 7.1 m.
