Zanthoxylum caribaeum (Prickly Yellow) is a species of tree in the family Rutaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Puerto Rico, Ceará, Mato Grosso do Sul, Santa Catarina, São Paulo, Rondônia, Amazônia, Espirito Santo, Amazônia, Bahia, Cerrado, Mata Atlântica, Pará, Roraima, Paraná, Sergipe, Rio de Janeiro, Alagoas, and Pernambuco. Prickly Yellow has compound, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph.
