Solanum melongena (Eggplant) is a species of perennial herb in the family nightshades. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves and berries. Flowers are visited by Common Eastern Bumblebee, Augochloropsis metallica, Bombus diversus, and Bombus terrestris canariensis. Individuals can grow to 4 feet.
