Verbena bonariensis (Purpletop Vervain) is a species of annual herb in the family Verbenaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Rio Grande Do Sul and Pampa. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Bombus hypnorum, meadow brown, Asian swallowtail, and Hylephila phylaeus.
