Spathodea campanulata (African Tuliptree) is a species of tree in the family bignonias. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Afrotropics. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Indian Flying Fox, Oiseau-mouche-a-collier, Purple Sunbird, and Red-vented Bulbul. Individuals can grow to 7.5 m.
