Fragilaria rumpens is a species of diatoms in the family Fragilariaceae. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Rio De Janeiro, Rio Grande Do Sul, Paraná, and Bahia. Dead Fragilaria rumpens form siliceous oozes.
