They are native to Espirito Santo, ParaíBa, Pernambuco, Pará, Maranhao, Minas Gerais, Distrito Federal, Acre (Brazil), RondôNia, Paraná, Amapá, Cerrado, Bahia, Puerto Rico, Mato Grosso, Mata Atlântica, Alagoas, Roraima, GoiáS, Rio Grande Do Sul, Tocantins, Amazônia, Rio De Janeiro, The Contiguous United States, Sergipe, SãO Paulo, Rio Grande Do Norte, Pantanal, Pampa, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Ceará, Caatinga, and Piauí. They have simple, broad leaves.
