Iris tenax (Toughleaf Iris) is a species of perennial herb in the family Iridaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves, purple flowers, and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Priocnemis and Andrena astragali. Individuals can grow to 0.46 m.
