Panama tree

A large tree from moist tropical America ranging from Mexico to Brazil, widely planted for its timber and the valued seeds. A fast growing species that prefers light fertile soils in the wild; grown trees can be drought tolerant. The edible seeds are used as a snack raw or roasted; they can be pounded as for culinary use and an oil (used as cosmetic or lubricant) can be extracted from them.
