Cistus ladanifer (Common Gum Cistus) is a species of shrub in the family Cistaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to mediterranean basin. They have simple, broad leaves and dry fruit. Flowers are visited by Honey bee, Trichodes octopunctatus, Oxythyrea funesta, and Heliotaurus ruficollis. Individuals can grow to 1.6 m.
