Pteridium arachnoideum (Tropical Brackenfern) is a species of perennial herb in the family Dennstaedtiaceae. They are native to Amapá, Pampa, Cerrado, Caatinga, Pantanal, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Santa Catarina, Pará, Bahia, Roraima, Amazônia, Rio Grande Do Norte, Mato Grosso, Mata Atlântica, SãO Paulo, GoiáS, Pernambuco, Espirito Santo, Paraná, Puerto Rico, Ceará, Rio De Janeiro, Rio Grande Do Sul, Minas Gerais, ParaíBa, Distrito Federal, and Alagoas. They have bipinnate + pinnatifid leaves. They have alternation of generations.
