They are native to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, US Minor Outlying Islands, The Contiguous United States, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, North America, Canada, and U.S. Virgin Islands. Flowers are visited by Cloudless Sulphur and Three-Spotted Skipper. Individuals can grow to 2.1 m.
