Lantana camara is a species of shrub in the family Verbenaceae. They are climbers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to South America, Puerto Rico, US Minor Outlying Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, The Neotropics, and Central America. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Phocides urania, Dryadula phaetusa, Common Leopard, and Vanessa carye. Individuals can grow to 2.6 m.
