Pododesmus squama (Gmelin 1791)

Pododesmus squama is a species of mussels in the family Anomiidae. This species is extinct. They are native to South African Exclusive Economic Zone. Individuals could grow to 40 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They are sessile animals.
