Ageratum conyzoides (Tropical Whiteweed) is a species of shrub in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Pantanal, Tocantins, Puerto Rico, Cerrado, Alagoas, Mata Atlântica, Rio Grande Do Sul, U.S. Virgin Islands, Ceará, Amapá, Pampa, The Neotropics, Distrito Federal, Maranhao, AmazôNia, RondôNia, Colombia, Rio Grande Do Norte, Piauí, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Espirito Santo, Ecuador, Paraná, Rio De Janeiro, GoiáS, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso, Costa Rica, Peru, Nicaragua, Caatinga, Acre (Brazil), Pará, Solomon Islands, SãO Paulo, Santa Catarina, Sergipe, Roraima, Mato Grosso Do Sul, and ParaíBa. They have simple, broad leaves and achene. Individuals can grow to 2.3 m.
