Cichla ocellaris (Tucunare) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family Cichlidae. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Venezuela, Brazil, Suriname, French Guiana, La Plata Basin, Colombia, Guyana, and Orinoco Basin. Individuals can grow to 74 cm. They have sexual reproduction.
