Colonial hydroids with erect, branched stems, monosiphonic or polysiphonic; hydranth fusiform, hypostome dome-shaped or conical, surrounded by one distal whorl of tentacles; pseudohydrothecae covering polyp base but not sheathing tentacles; gonophores fixed sporosacs, borne on pedicels on hydrocauli or on hydrorhiza.
