Arctic species; found in the Laptev Sea
Hyperbenthic (abyssopelagic) species. Found at depths greater than 3000 m.
Female: 1st pedigerous somite entirely concealed beneath carapace-like expansion extending from posterior margin of maxilliped-bearing somite ; 3rd and 4th pedigerous somites produced posteriorly. Urosome 5-segmented; genital and 1st abdominal somites fused to form genital double somite. Rostrum posteroventrally produced, with 2 pairs of sensillae and a median pore. Naupliar eye not observed.Genital field with 2 copulatory pores located at the ventromedian surface of the double somite and a T-shaped seminal receptacle.
