Morphology

provided by iArczoo

Females:
The cephalathorax is oval shaped from top view, the dorsal side is strongly convex. The posterior corners of the last thoracic segment are rounded and do not extend toward the back. The length of the abdomen is 1.7-1.8 times shorter than the cephalothorax. The genital segment is almost as long as the combined length of the remaining segments of the abdomen. Caudal rami are very narrow and long, almost equal in length. The length:width ratio in the caudal rami is 17:1. A1 is as long or slightly longer than the body. The rami of A2 are almost equal in length, the exopodite is 8-segmented. The chewing edge of the Md contains 9 teeth, 3 of which are much larger than the rest and are serrated. The rostral filaments are long and completely separate at the base. The distal segment of the exopodite of P2 carries 5 inner chaetae. Endopodite of P1 three-segmented, the distal end of the second basipodite carries a projection with a flat top, which is armed with a chaeta. P5 is modified – the endopodite is two-segmented with only 4 chaetae (one on the first segment and three on the second).
