Dreissena polymorpha (Wandering Mussel) is a species of mussels in the family Dreissenidae. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Turkey, Russia, Danube River, Dneiper River, the Palearctic, and Ukraine. They are solitary. Individuals can grow to 20 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They rely on swimming to move around.
