Mytilus galloprovincialis (Mediterranean Mussel) is a species of mussels in the family Mytilidae. They are native to Libya, Italy, New Zealand Exclusive Economic Zone, Algeria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Greece, Russia, Egypt, Ukraine, Tasman Sea, Macedonia, France, Tunisia, Turkey, Romania, Great Australian Bight, Morocco, Portugal, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Australia, and Spain. Adult Mediterranean Mussel form marine reefs. Individuals can grow to 276 mm. They have sexual reproduction.
