Caprimulgus europaeus (Eurasian Nightjar) is a species of birds in the family Caprimulgidae. It is found in the Afrotropics, the Indo-Malayan Realm, and the Palearctic. It is a nocturnal invertivore. Individuals can grow to 101 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Eurasian Nightjar has parental care (occasionally breeds cooperatively). It relies on flight to move around.
