Calcarius lapponicus (Lapland Longspur) is a species of birds in the family calcariid buntings. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is found in the Neotropics, the Palearctic, and the Nearctic. Lapland Longspur is a diurnal granivore. Individuals can grow to 35 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Lapland Longspur has parental care (pair provides care). It relies on flight to move around.
