Acridotheres tristis (Calcutta Myna) is a species of Aves in the family Sturnidae. They are native to Thailand, Sri Lanka, Iran, Bangladesh, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Asia, Lebanon, Vietnam, Nepal, China, Malaysia, Bhutan, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Southeast Asia, Egypt, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, India, and Pakistan. They visit flowers of New Zealand flax. They are diurnal omnivores. They have parental care (pair provides care, female provides care, and paternal care). They rely on flight to move around.
