Aythya collaris (Ring Necked Duck) is a species of birds in the family Anatidae. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is found in the Neotropics, the Nearctic, and the Palearctic. Ring Necked Duck is a diurnal herbivore. Individuals are known to live for 20.4 years and can grow to 1180 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Ring Necked Duck has parental care (only female provides care).
