Cistothorus platensis (Sedge Wren) is a species of birds in the family wrens. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is found in the Neotropics and the Nearctic. Sedge Wren is a diurnal invertivore. Individuals can grow to 10.3 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Sedge Wren has parental care (only female provides care). It relies on flight to move around.
