Near Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Photographed outside Hotel Mariposa upstairs apartment on 5 April 2012 in the morning. Just after this, the bird (which looks to me like a young bird) flew to the kitchen window and rapped at it, as if pecking at its reflection.

Brown Jays (Cyanocorax morio) are very common residents of both slopes. They hate quiet and will do whatever they can to destroy it when they find it! You'll also hear the call of Blue-crowned Motmot in this recording. (Costa Rica)
