An abundant species at mesopelagic depths at midlle latitudes in the North Atlantic. It is a strong diel migrant moving from daytime depths of 300-600m by day up to 100-400m at night. Length of the female is 2.6-3.2mm

Female 1.1-1.3mm - specimen from near surfac nea Bermuda. The type locality is off Brazil and the probablity is that this specimen is not the same. Members of this genus are very abundnat in neritic and offshore waters in the Indo-Pacific
