Hbitat: Campos de cereal, eriales, cunetas y otros ambientes arvenses y ruderales.Preferencia edfica: Basfila Calccola. Family: CapparidaceaeDistribution: Fond in forests on plains, also planted along tank bunds.Found in Indian subcontinent, China and Malaysia.5-6m tall deciduous trees, Leaves 3 foliate, Leaf lets acute. Flowers large, polygamous, 3-4cm across, in terminal corymbs; Flowers green when very young, turns yellow soon after opening, white at maturity. All three colors an be seen in the image.Calyx and corolla 4 lobes each, sepals adnate to the lobed disk, petals long clawed, opens in bud stage, Stamens numerous, inserted at the base of gynophore, filaments pink colored, exerted, Ovary on a slender elongated gynophore, ovary 1-2 celled, stigma sessile; Fruit a berry.Stem bark is used in urinary infections.Photographed at Nellore, Local name:Ulemiri in Telugu. Boechera microphylla (Nuttall) Dorn (syn. Arabis microphylla). Plant height is often described as being in the 1 to 3.5 dm range, however often they can be tall. Welsh indicates an upper limit of 5 dm which is more accurate.May 5, 2011, Wasatch foothills, Salt Lake County, Utah, approx 4,930 ft., growing in quartzite crevices.

Substratum: fine sand.Place: Central part of Falassarna beach, West Crete, Mediterranean Sea, Greece EC.Comment: Matthiola tricuspidata is a widely distributed and common flowering in spring plant of sand dunes behind beaches of the whole Mediterranean region. Although there exist a few other similar species of Matthiola genus, which also grow in the Mediterranean, it is easy to recognize it. First distinctive trait is habitat - always near sea shore and the second are their thin, up to 10 cm long siliqua (fruits of the Cruciferae family) with a distinctive three-horned apex (see picture 2.).Ref.:(1)

En Aragn es abundante en la Depresin del Ebro, tambin es comn en los Somontanos y en zonas bajas del Sistema Ibrico.
