They are native to Cerrado, Acre (Brazil), Mato Grosso, Roraima, Amapá, Tocantins, Amazônia, Distrito Federal, Pará, Minas Gerais, GoiáS, Bahia, RondôNia, and Maranhao. They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 19 m.
