Satyrium behrii is resident in the western United States and into southern British Columbia (Scott 1986). Habitats are upper Sonoran to lower transition zone chaparral, sagebrush scrub and pine woodland. Host plants are shrubs limited to a few species of family Rosaceae. Eggs are laid on the host plant singly. Individuals overwinter as eggs. There is one flight each year with the approximate flight time June1-early July in s. Calif. and sw COlo., July1-July31 elsewhere (Scott 1986).
