Tillandsia usneoides (Spanish Moss) is a species of perennial herb in the family Bromeliads. It is a climber. It has a self-supporting growth form. Spanish Moss is native to Puerto Rico, the contiguous United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, eastern north america, Acre (Brazil), Santa Catarina, Piauí, Goiás, São Paulo, Sergipe, Pampa, Maranhao, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Espirito Santo, Rio Grande do Sul, Caatinga, Paraná, Pará, Amazônia, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Cerrado, Bahia, Alagoas, Mata Atlântica, Paraíba, Pernambuco, and the Neotropics. It has simple, broad leaves and white flowers. It is a photoautotroph.
