Canis aureus (Golden Jackal) is a species of mammals in the family Canidae. They are listed in cites appendix iii. They are native to Asia, Ethiopia, and the Palearctic. They are diurnal omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 192 months and can grow to 827.53 mm. They have parental care (paternal care and cooperative breeding). They rely on running to move around.
