Didelphis virginiana (Virginia Opossum) is a species of mammals in the family Didelphidae. It is found in the Neotropics and the Nearctic. It is a solitary, nocturnal omnivore. Individuals are known to live for 60 months and can grow to 2442.08 g. Reproduction is viviparous and dioecious. Virginia Opossum relies on arboreal (locomotion) to move around.
