Rattus rattus (Black Rat) is a species of rodents in the family murid rodents. They are native to Asia and India. They are nocturnal omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 50.4 months and can grow to 414 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care).
