Orycteropus afer (Aardvark) is a species of mammals in the family aardvarks. They are native to Ethiopia. They are solitary, nocturnal carnivores. Individuals are known to live for 288 months and can grow to 1254.43 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care).
