Coendou prehensilis (Brazilian Porcupine) is a species of rodents in the family New World porcupines. They are native to The Neotropics. They are solitary, nocturnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 207.6 months and can grow to 467.6 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care).
