Liomys pictus (Painted Spiny Pocket Mouse) is a species of rodents in the family Heteromyidae. It is found in the Neotropics and the Nearctic. It is a solitary, nocturnal invertivore. Individuals can grow to 50 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Painted Spiny Pocket Mouse relies on saltation to move around.
