Ferula communis (Giant Fennel) is a species of perennial herb in the family umbellifers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Dilophus beckeri, Megascolia maculata, Rhagonycha nigritarsis, and Hylaeus amharicus. Individuals can grow to 1.5 m.
