Description: English: Polistes apachus - drinking from puddle, standing on water using surface tension, in situ in Woodward County, Oklahoma, photo by CalinsDad 25 July 2018. This species is often found drinking in such a fashion. Proliferation of sources of open water due to urbanisation and agriculture has likely been advantageous to this otherwise xeric species.
