Papilio polyxenes--I had quite a collection of caterpillars on my patch of parsley in the garden this year. (If fact, they ate it down to the nubs.) I collected about a dozen final instar caterpillars managed to rear in a terrarium and got about ten chrysalises. For three chrysalises, I was present soon after they emerged and was able to get photos before they became too flighty. You just can't beat the colors of a freshly-emerged butterfly! There are several good images on EOL for this species, but I felt this one was good enough to perhaps add something.
