Lagorchestes hirsutus (Mala) is a species of mammals in the family Macropodidae. It is listed as vulnerable by IUCN and in CITES Appendix I. It is found in Australasia. Lagorchestes hirsutus is a nocturnal folivore. Individuals are known to live for 96 months and can grow to 1407.14 g. Reproduction is viviparous and dioecious. Lagorchestes hirsutus relies on saltation to move around.
