They are native to GoiáS, Tocantins, Cerrado, Caatinga, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande Do Sul, The Neotropics, Alagoas, Sergipe, Amazônia, Rio Grande Do Norte, Pampa, Santa Catarina, Roraima, Ceará, Mata Atlântica, Rio De Janeiro, Mato Grosso, ParaíBa, Piauí, SãO Paulo, Maranhao, Bahia, Espirito Santo, Pernambuco, Pará, Amapá, Distrito Federal, Mato Grosso Do Sul, RondôNia, Acre (Brazil), and Pantanal. They have compound, broad leaves and capsule fruit.
