Xeromys myoides (False Swamp Rat) is a species of rodents in the family Muridae. It is listed as vulnerable by IUCN and in CITES Appendix I. It is associated with freshwater habitat. False Swamp Rat is found in Australasia. It is a solitary carnivore. Individuals can grow to 45.2 g. Reproduction is dioecious.

  • Definition: Appendix I lists species that are the most endangered among CITES-listed animals and plants.
