Erinaceus europaeus is a species of mammals in the family Erinaceidae. They are native to the Palearctic, Europe, and Germany. They are solitary, crepuscular omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 168 months and can grow to 237.17 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care).
