Jatropha gossypiifolia (Bellyache Bush) is a species of shrub in the family Euphorbiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to RondôNia, Pará, GoiáS, Martinique, Paraná, Amazônia, Tocantins, SãO Paulo, Guadeloupe, U.S. Virgin Islands, The Contiguous United States, Minas Gerais, Maranhao, Distrito Federal, Puerto Rico, Bahia, Rio De Janeiro, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Pernambuco, Saint Martin, Ceará, and Saint Barthelemy. They have simple, broad leaves and loculicidal capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 2 m.
