Vanilla pompona (West Indian Vanilla) is a species of perennial herb in the family orchids. They are obligate climbers. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are native to RondôNia, Amapá, Amazônia, Mato Grosso, Pernambuco, Tocantins, Minas Gerais, Cerrado, ParaíBa, Pará, GoiáS, and Maranhao. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 16 m.
