Carex phalaroides is a species of perennial herb in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mata Atlântica, Paraná, Rio Grande Do Sul, SãO Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, Pampa, Minas Gerais, and Santa Catarina. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.19 m.
